After six years of dodging the gym and any type of cardiovascular activity I managed to gain over 20 lbs.. I started hitting the free weights but saw little change in my body type and body weight after months of training.

I decided to take "Boot Camp" classes and felt a difference immediately. John's workout concept of "muscle confusion" creates results. I am stronger, faster, and more in tuned with my body now (in my mid-thirties) then ever in my life. With John's leadership and encouragement I am running 6 1/2 minute miles and lifting more weight then when I was in college. Not to mention those extra 20 lbs are long gone.

Thanks Johnny G!

Thanks so much. I love your class and intend to keep on doing it. Honestly I never thought I would ever enjoy working out as much as I have. Thanks for all of the support and motivation.

John's Bootcamps are terrific. In a class size of over 20, John makes you feel as if he is your personal trainer. I feel incredibly motivated, both during class and outside of class, to push myself to the limits. Because of bootcamp I'm stronger, faster and most of all mentally engaged to continue progressing as an athlete.

I would highly recommend boot camp to people who are looking to get in shape and need motivation. Before I started, I would work out
by doing my 30 minutes of cardio, maybe a couple of machines, and then stretching. Even though I knew doing strength training wouldn't make me bulky and would give me definition, I still would be lazy about it (while I was already at the gym!). The great thing about boot camp is you do a lot of strength training, but it is so much more fun than using the machines. It's never boring, and the people are so friendly. My husband and I have a great time, joking around with each other. I have definitely noticed a different in my body, and even better, I just feel stronger and more fit. I work in a lab, so I have found moving equipment (20 liter solvent drums, gas cylinders, etc...) are easier for me now. Bottom line, boot camp is great!

The end :-)

Boot Camp Testimonial

I'm in my late thirties and as I got more involved in youth sport activities through my kids, I began to realize the effects of the years of neglect for my health. I decided to get back to the gym and recapture the fitness levels I had at 18. Even though I was throughly committed to the plan, I was not getting the results that I wished for from my regular gym workouts - running, swimming, weightlifting, etc. One morning I came across the Boot Camp class and after just a few minutes of observation, I decided to give it a try.

I have participated in a number of Boot Camp session and see dramatic results. In just one 7 week session, my mile time decreased by 1:20 to 7:34. I am hoping to run my next test at a sub 7. I have lost over 25 pounds and seen my body change drastically. I still am not where I ultimately want to be but I am convinced I will get there and Boot Camp will play a major role in that!

Why I love Boot Camp

Each class is provides a unique way to work your body. I am always wondering what we are going to be doing in class. This keeps it exciting and fresh. And John is a fantastic instructor. He has an uncanny ability to know when you are at your break point and pushes you just that extra little bit.

I've formed new relationships with my fellow Boot Campers. Although you are in the class for you and you personal betterment, I get an extra push through competition with my new group of friends. It is an extra form of motivation that helps push you even farther.
